The Chateau Haut Peyroutas is located on the right bank of the Garonne river in Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France. The cooler climate and the clay-and-chalk-rich soils of our vineyards gave the wine perfect taste and distinctive style.
The estate includes 54 acres of vines planted with Merlot (63%) and Cabernet Franc (37%).
This combination of grapes gave our wine a smooth texture and velvety mouthfeel, with notes of plum, blackberry, cherry compote and hints of vanilla and sweet spices. The mild, soft tannin palate experience makes our wine an excellent choice for both red meats and lighter cuisine, such as poultry, appetizers and bistro-style foods.
